Getting started

Ten minutes from install to a shared board with an agent reading it.

1. Install and capture

Download Peekr for your computer, or create an account to start on the web. On the Mac, allow Screen Recording when prompted so Peekr can capture the region you select. On Windows, Peekr lives in the system tray; new icons may be inside the chevron. Agent setup is optional and available later from Settings → Agent.

Peekr for Windows is in progress. Everything below describes how it works; it ships when it is signed and tested on real machines. Until then Windows runs Peekr in the browser — the same board, the same agents, nothing to install. Downloads

Then, in any app:

• Press the capture shortcut (default ⌃⇧2), drag over the problem, release. Type one line about what's wrong. ⌘↩ saves.
• Press the shortcut twice to file a text-only issue — same box, no screenshot. Add a screenshot later from the capture's page if you want one.
• Full-screen capture has its own shortcut (⌃⇧3), and you can paste an image into the note box.

The app records the application and window you captured from. Browser URL capture is an optional setting. Draw arrows and boxes before saving, or afterwards from the detail view. Redaction permanently removes the selected pixels; review it before confirming.

2. Sign in to sync

Choose Sign in from the menu bar on Mac or the tray on Windows. The app shows a short code and opens peekr.dev/device in your browser; approve it there. Your accessible workspaces sync to this computer. In Settings → Account, choose where new captures go and check the sync status. That destination does not limit which workspaces sync.

Captures you made before signing in stay local until you choose Move to workspace in Settings → Account. Check the destination and group audience before moving them.

3. Make it a team

• Groups are topics: “checkout flow”, “design panel”, “v2 launch”. New groups follow your workspace's sharing default, initially everyone in the workspace. Choose private when you need a smaller audience. Existing private groups stay private until you explicitly share them.
• Invite a teammate from Settings → Members on the web or Settings → Team on the Mac. The form shows the groups they will see, including automatic access to future shared groups. If all existing groups are private, review them in Settings → Groups on the web, or in the Team sharing review on the Mac, and choose which ones to share.
• Invite a guest for a client or contractor. Select one or more groups, check the access summary, then send an email invitation or create a one-person link. Other groups stay hidden; individual issue assignments can also grant access.
• Assign a capture to a person or a bot from the detail view or the card's menu. A group can have a default assignee.

4. Let an agent in

Open Connect an agent → Copy setup prompt and paste it into your agent. Follow its setup instructions and approve the scope in your browser. One personal connection can cover all your accessible workspaces. Ask it to read the built-in Peekr guide, then open a real issue to verify the connection.
