Getting started

Ten minutes from install to a shared board with an agent reading it.

1. Install and capture

Download the app for your platform. On first launch the Mac app asks for Screen Recording — that permission is what lets it grab the region you drag. It also offers to write an MCP config for your editor; you can do that later from Settings → Agent.

Then, in any app:

• Press the capture shortcut (default ⌃⇧2; Ctrl+Shift+2 on Windows, when it ships), drag over the problem, release. Type one line about what's wrong. ⌘↩ saves.
• Press the shortcut twice to file a text-only issue — same box, no screenshot. Add a screenshot later from the capture's page if you want one.
• Full-screen capture has its own shortcut (⌃⇧3), and you can paste an image into the note box.

The app records which application, window and (for browsers) URL you captured from. Draw arrows, boxes or blur before saving, or afterwards from the detail view.

2. Sign in to sync

Click the menu-bar icon → Sign in. The app shows a short code and opens peekr.dev/device in your browser; approve it there. From that moment the library on that device mirrors everything you can see in the workspace, and captures you make on it appear on the web within seconds.

Captures you made before signing in stay local until you choose Sync existing captures — nothing is uploaded silently.

3. Make it a team

• Groups are topics: “checkout flow”, “design panel”, “v2 launch”. A new group is shared with everyone in the workspace; make it private to share it with exactly the people you name. Open a group and choose Share to change who sees it, or to bring in someone who isn't on the team.
• Invite people to the workspace from Settings → Members, as members or admins. Members see every group shared with everyone. To give someone one group only — a client, a contractor — share that group with them by email instead: they join as a guest of it and see nothing else.
• Assign a capture to a person or a bot from the detail view or the card's menu. A group can have a default assignee.

4. Let an agent in

Open Agents in the web app and pick your client. For Claude Code it's one command; the browser opens, you approve, and the agent can list, look at, claim and resolve captures — as you. See Connect an agent for the details and The agent loop for running an agent unattended.
