Appearance and updates

Make Peekr comfortable to use

Choose System, Light, or Dark. System follows your computer’s appearance and changes when it changes.

  • Mac and Windows: open Settings → General → Appearance.
  • Web: use the appearance control at the top of the website or sign-in page. Inside the app, open Your account → Appearance.

The choice is remembered on this device or browser. It does not change your teammates’ settings. If browser storage is blocked, your selection lasts for the current page session.

Desktop updates

Peekr checks for updates automatically. When a release is available, a notice on the board offers the next step. You can dismiss it and return to Settings → General → Updates later.

  1. Select Update now to download the release.
  2. Follow the download progress. On Mac, Show download opens the update window with full progress details.
  3. Save your work, then choose Restart to update. Peekr verifies the download before installation.

If an issue or screenshot editor is open, finish it and return to the board before restarting. A failed download can be retried from Updates. If checking fails, check your connection and try again; your current app remains installed.

Older Mac releases already offer updates through the menu bar’s Check for Updates… command and the standard update window. The board notice appears after installing a release that includes it.

The web app updates when you reload the page. Save any work before refreshing.

Peekr for Windows is in progress. Everything below describes how it works; it ships when it is signed and tested on real machines. Until then Windows runs Peekr in the browser — the same board, the same agents, nothing to install. Downloads

Download again

The download page lists the latest published release for each platform. It offers a desktop download only when a release is available; you can always continue on the web.
